INSTALLED MY 4TH MUNCHKIN RECENTLY [ LOVE THEM ] BUT THIS ONE IS GIVEING ME TROUBLE WHEN STARTING FROM COLD FOR DHW AT AROUND 115 BIOLER FLUTTERS AND VIBRATES AT THAT TIME I GET A SLIGHT ODOR OF GAS DOES NOT SEAM TO HAPPEN ALL THE TIME I SAT AND WATCHED IT THE OTHER DAY WHEN IT DOES HAPPEN IT IS NOT LONG. SEAMS THAT IF RETURN WATER IS UP UPON CALL FOR HEAT IT DOES NOT HAPPEN

Have you adjusted the CO on the unit yet?

If not, you need to.

Also it is critical to follow the makers directions regarding distance from an upstream presure regulator on the gas side.

Sounds like it needs fine tuned. Also, when typing, using all caps is considered YELLING...

It's also hard on an old mans ears:-)

Sorry I will be easier on the ears in the future.
I talked with htp and adjusted as per their instructions 1/2 turn on the screw. it got better but now heve gone about 2 turns without any change. Never had to adjust before. This is natural gas, no up stream reg that should give me trouble

Call HTP and talk to Chuck or Guy. I'm sure they can get you fixed up. Make sure they have ALL the pertenant information and they WILL find a solution.
