I have asked several people about this topic and i whould like to see what other think: Some say when u wash a boiler with water u run the risk of cracking the bolier.H ow could this be if u are using the water from the boiler itself or from hot water in the coil?

I have washed hundreds of boilers and no cracks yet. I usually use tap water. You can damage a chamber or target wall. If the boiler doesnt have a chamber then it is the best way to get the cast clean.0 -
Water washing
Some years ago, I went to class with Weil-McLain. They recommended their boilers be washed. Get temp. to above 160, and squirt it down. Been doing it for years with no problems.I use a garden type pressure sprayer. I do not use too much water.0 -
