An Apology

Sorry if I've seemed like a commercial for a certain boiler company recently. Please believe that I have no connections and will receive no benefit.
After years of patiently waiting for some American company to get the idea, I gave up and studied the literature.
Kind of freaked when I found that the smallest model is perfectly rated and factory set to be ideal for my application. (Provided, of course, that I omit the low-loss header...)
Each fall for the last few years we get a plague of orange Japanese ladybugs. They actually bite! I guess they arrived a few months early this year...

Hey, I have no problem with your enthusiasm...
...I think it's great to what extent you're excited by the possibilities that the orange company is offering you. Funnily enough, I'm also tickled sufficiently by their offerings to buy a boiler, a IDWH, and perhaps even a solar water heating solution from them.
So, who were you apologizing to, anyway? Don't we know you?0 -
Apology directed to American Boiler Manufacturers and their representatives.
I did my damndest to give them time and even provided the data and virtual program flowchart. It almost seems that someone paid attention and our common language is numbers...0 -

Hmmmm....
....if you gave them a honest chance, it is their loss that they did not jump on it. I had a look at your spreadsheets, interesting... I would have done things a little differently because I'm not as smart as you.
I have attached them, tell me what you think (if the difference between the two is obvious, which it may not be...) I don't like to hard-code my excel models simply to prevent me from seeing errors in formulas. If you'd like me to take a look at your bigger XLS file, I'll be happy to do so (via e-mail).0 -
Like it. Thanks
I rarely use Excel and my spreadsheet skills were self-taught on Lotus version 1 or so. It shows. The human name constants help a LOT!
You'll be shocked at just how easy the r-value input was to include.0
