    Hi, HB!

Alan beat me to it, and he's right. That stat can do up to 3 stage heat, 2 stage cool, plus a lot more. They're available from any Honeywell distributor. Part number is TH8320U1008, name is VisionPro 8000. Let me know what you think of it.

    Series 8000 Stats

Are the best thing since sliced bread. Once you've installed and programmed one you'll be hard pressed to use anything else.

    I believe you, Steve, but.........

as always, trying to find things you want, let alone on someone's shelf, is nearly impossible. I'm just going to split the therms.

    TH8000

    Bill W @honeywell,
I was just about ready, yesterday in fact, to install one of these wonders in my new home to replace the Bryant Evolution, but realized that there is no way to connect my humidifier to it. Or did I miss something in the wiring
instructions? I would think any multipurpose modern t-stat would include a connection for a humidifier.

    Programming options

vary with the particular stat but "briefly" they are

    # of stages,,,, 7 day programming,,,,system type, heat cool, heat pump, hot water etc.,,,, reversing valve operation,,, cycles per hour in heat and cool,,,, backlighting on/off/intermittent,,auto or manual changeover,,,,deadband from 2-9*,,,,display in F* or C*,,,Daylight savings time,,,Remote outdoor temp sensor,,, filter reminder run hours,,,, humdifier pad replacemnt reminder,,,U/V lamp reminder,,,Adaptive intelligent recovery,,, number of periods per day,,,compressor off time,,,adjustable high heat and low cooling temps for those folks who think the hihger you turn the stat the faster it works,,,,clock format 12or24 hr
adjustable fan on time after call for heat and/or cool,,,,
    ...

Various models have different capabilities. These are for the basic single stage heat/cool stat. They go up to 2 heat and 3 cool I think. There are alos some models that will run the humidifier and U/V lamp.

    The PC8900 offers that option...

and that's what I have in my own home. PC8900/W8900 is hard to beat, it's a 7 day EnergyStar programmable stat which also offers humidifier control, up to 9 remote temperature sensors, ventilation control, circulation control for the fan, automatic frost protection and a host of other features. The W8900 comes in 3 models, conventional, heat pump, and conventional with reheat for cooling applictions in high humidity areas. The new Vison Pro does have a model that includes a de-humidification control, it's the TH8321U1014. Thanks for your interest in our product.
