I am using LoopCad to design my radiant floor system.I am having a little trouble placing my manifolds where they would be the most efficient.
How far from the zones is too far for a manifold?I have a few loops that will be 15' from the manifold.
What is the maximum recommended number of zones recommender in a single manifold service area?
Is it smart to have say 2 loops in multiple locations or try and get most of the loops to a central area like under some stairs?
Is there a resource that might show examples of previous designs?
I am a homeowner but I have experience with in floor heat. I installed a below floor system 5 years ago throughout with a CombiVent water heater and a control panel with 8 zones.Since then I have taken all the tubes out and am in the process of doing a thin slab system. For now I am going to tap off of my 8 previous zones into the manifolds for the thin slab system till I can redo my utility room to accept a Munskin boiler.
Thanks Brad

I solved one of my problems.
I relized that I could come up on any side of a wall but have the inspection access on whatever side I wanted.
I was kind of stuck with the idea that I had to have the access hatch on the side the retun and supply tubes entered. Thats not so.
That solved most of my problem.0
