this will be from a 75 gallon direct vent do i need an expansion tank why or why not

is this a domestic/drinking water hot water heater we are talking about? Aka an OPEN system??? the short answer would be no,unless you have a check valve on the water meter coming into the house, but that brings up a lot more questions. 1)Most baseboard needs about 160F water temps to work or you need a ton of baseboard. 2)This baseboard wold remain unused in the summer a give a possiblity of getting someone sick from the stagnate water...3) If you raise the water temp up to allow the baseboard to be used effectively you will also raise the good chance of getting scalded. 4) water heaters woun't last as long as a boiler esecially at hi temps...might want to re-think this set up ...kpc
