put together pieces for my Farm Fest display booth. In addition to radiant and hydronic working models I am building a "Show Me Alternate Energy Source Building"

Inside a 6X6 building will be a wood fired gasification boiler. A precast slab (moveable hopefully) will be under the building with some radiant tube installed.

An indirect tank for dhw and boiler dump zone. Then a solar hw panel on the roof for summer dhw preheat generation.

I'll have some Warmboard spread out and working, show some wall radiant, baseboard, and panel radiators. My Polar Cool portable swamp cooler got a hydronic coil added for a live demo also.

Any other ideas?

Dan, some years we freeze our butts off at Farm Fest, other years we sweat to death. Figure I have both sides covered this way with the Polar Cool and hydronic coil.

Heck I'll even have some snow melt in that precast concrete slab and apron.

Heat weave

Hot Rod,

Watts Radiant has a real sweet little display for their Heat weave electric mat. I've used it at a couple of trade shows and it seems to attract a lot of people and it doesn't take up much space. Every one seems to stop and feel the warm tile on display. It is amazing how many people will consider warming their tile in at least one room of the house.

Looks like you have all the makings for a very good show!

How about a graywater heat recovery setup

It's one of my favorite parts, the shower up there, the cold water running here, less heat out the drain. No moving parts...

The real things went out of produciton for a while, but you could bend a few loops of soft copper around a piece of copper DWV to get the idea across.
