The new Smith 7 section boilers arrived along with boxes of parts and burners. Being assembled today. Glad I just take pictures.

    For me,

Modular or multiple boilers would be the way to go..... already assembled, pressure tested, and ready to plumb in and wire. After learning the art of cast iron boiler assembly this past year on two larger steamers (Noel's Slantfin steam modules are hard to get in my area), and seeing the energy savings when replacing large single boilers with step fired modules, I am a through believer.

Makes my back hurt too and the owner's wallet.

    doug..

Once or twice. By the pics it looks like a water job. Did you test after assembly? I just finished 3 Weil 880's (steam). You look like your workin in a country club compared to were we just were and I'm in the throws of bidding another one. It seems as though most heating guys (at least here) don't do many this size (and in my opinion are small). Now were talking heating, keep posting I would love to see more..Robert O'Connor/NJ

    Lots of space.

The boiler room is huge now that the original 20 section was taken out. The old light bulb fixtures are gone and new lamps are to be installed. The ceiling and walls were sprayed white. Here is the prep for static test. The chimney will be lined to reduce its diameter. Most of the building piping is done.

    doug.

Why the armoflex around the stub ups? Is it for movement after the pour? I use sleeves and pour sand around it with a stake to hold it. I know this isn't Jersey, so where you at?..Robert O'connor/NJ
