JCA, I was trying to tell you about a coast guard eagle. He was a masthead? I don't the right term for on the front of the boat. I am working at the coast gaurd foundation and this is my first picture w/my new camera. Hope it works.

another note, the Eagle got vandalized last night! Ok I did something wrong, I don't know how to resize, it is so big it won't load. I'l try again later

    Hey!

    Whatca'mean vandilized?The cadet's get outta hand?Invaded buy the sub-kats from across the river?Or did someone have extra energy after walkin'back up the hill from quarter beer nite downtown?:-)And that's the figurine for the bowsprit.Anyone know if thay still have the live bear there for the academy mascot?Our QM used to take care of it.

    Rangers got it,

    It's called a "figurehead". (that's where the term "head", meaning bathroom comes from. When you had to go....that's where you went).

    Which Eagle got vandalised, the one in the picture, or the ship?

    in the picture. It got moved to a permanent [so they thought] position after I took that picture. It got flipped of its foundation and rolled over onto it's side. It got damaged , will need repair. I think it is a fiberglass mold. Maybe I will get a picture tomorrow
