    I don't recall exactly,

    but I remember they were on it immediately and took care of it as they should. No stories, just action. Good people at ECR.

    The problem

    as I understood was that the sections were machined slightly too much, cutting down the size of the flue passages. This in turn decreased flow thorugh the passages, slightly increasing co levels. The factory solution was to downfire the boilers by one or two orifice sizes, getting the mixture back in balance.

    Unfortunately this also happened on many of the same boilers that had defective vent dampers.

    Right on the money

    The previous post about the sections was right on the money. I was at a wholesaler at the time and remember that ECR took care of the problem immediately. And yes it happened at the same time as Effikal was having problems with the "hockey puck" damper actuator.

    Oh and one more thing

    ECR also replaced the burners on most of the effected boilers I believe it was the natural gas models only. They were switched from the newer titanium types back to the stainless, if I remember right.
