pressure bypass valve

We're doing a new hot water system in old house. I recommened thermostatic valves on each rad, outdoor reset and continous circulation on this system due to the many temperature zones in house (at least 6).
I lent the salesman one of Dan's books I have, and even with that he can't get the supply house to understand what valve we need on this system.
Since the system has continous operation of the pump we need a bypass valve after the pump for when the valves close down to bypass the extra flow. Can anyone offer some model and brand numbers we can throw their way?
Thanks for any help you can give. Aren't many new systems going in down in Va. so they probably don't see much of this stuff.
