Gravity conv.

I have someone who has a old gravity system converted to a single zone with a B&G 100 circulator and condensing boiler. All radiation is cast iron radiator and 1 cast iron BB. He would like to convert to 2 zones. Do you think it should get changed to Prim/Sec or just add zone valves and use the B&G circ??? Thanks.

We need more info regarding...
Just how you planned on splitting a single gravity zone into two. Generally the gravity systems were never designed to make that option feasible. Most I see are split in walls and pipe sized to assure equal flows.
Is there some pre-existing "natural" logical split already? Cause if there ain't, you may well be S.O.L.
For a hefty price, ANYTHING can be done. Tell us what your dealing with in more detail and we'll comment accordingly.
