trying to find a 16\" tall radiator

I'm an architect in NYC trying to find a radiator that is 16" or less in height for an apartment renovation. There are 31 radiators in the space - about 15 of them need to conform to these specs:
Under 16" in height
about 4300 BTU
hot water heat
looks like the standard classic or slenderized radiator
We have searched several companies and the only one we have found is made by Bisque (British company) - the only problem is that they cost about $1100 each. Maybe someone knows of a salvage dealer that may have something?
Thank You,
Sean Grey

Those low "window radiators" seem especially scarce. Finding 15 of them might be extremely difficult--even in NYC. I searched for over 4 years and through many states before finding even one and I wound up seeing it sitting out by the street for trash pickup only 2 blocks away!
I'd suggest checking with demolition companies and ask to go through upcoming jobs. You might get lucky and they probably won't charge much as long as you provide the muscle to disconnect and haul.0 -
Steel panel rads?
Have you looked at some of the panel rads from Buderus, Runtal? Myson has a column rad that looks like a sectional old radiator @ 12" Checkout www.mysoninc.com0 -

from a previous thread:
Get in touch with Fran Fehey at A-1 New & Used Plumbing & Heating Supply in Somerville, MA. This place is like a supermarket of old radiators. Fran reconditions and tests each one and he ships anywhere. His email address is: A1plumbing@rcn.com. and his website is http://www.antiqueplumbingandradiators.com
Also in New England is Vermont Salvage. See their website at http://www.vermontsalvage.com. A lot more than radiators here!
There's another terrific supplier in Montreal, Canada. They are Shafter Bros., Inc. Check out their website at: http://www.steamexperts.com/rads/
If you're in the Washington D.C. area, check out The Brass Knob. They also have a website: http://www.thebrassknob.com/
And if you're in Michigan, try Atlas Plumbing Supply, 3439 Gratiot Ave., Detroit, MI 48207
If you were on the west coast, I'd refer you to C. R. Reichel at (415)431-7100. They have a whole basement of old radiators (see photo).
