tankless coil

When sizing a boiler after determining the heat loss, how much input should you add for the tanless coil? Slantfin program added 50,000 btu. Is this the norm?

Same scenario but a indirect heater. Crown ms40 to achieve ratings need a gross boiler output of 120,000 btu. Is this added to the heat loss to determine boiler size? In the past I have used priority controls so its never been a problem.
Thank you Steven

    Tankless ?

I would hazard a guess that slantfin is close to correct but there are limiting factors. You cannot extract more heat than the heat exchanger surface ie. tankless coil will transfer. On the indirect adding 120000 to a small non modulating boiler would likely short cycle to an unacceptable degree under low heating load condition. If you have a large boiler it would become less of a cycle factor however I would reccomend the priority control one of the worst things you can do to a heating system from an efficency stand point.
I know these are very general answers but I don't have much information to work with such as boiler type, size, fuel, application etc.
