    If you're

having problems with T&M, FR will probably not help.

Knowing the cost of doing business is everything. The method deployed is irrelevant.

First, learn how to calculate what your expenses are for a given time frame (hour, day, month, etc.)- and then figure out what your hourly rate must be, just to break even. If you're a one-man show this can be tough.

FR will not solve your problems. But neither will T&M. The problem is in your knowledge of business accounting. A one-semester college course in BUS-101 a couple of nights a week might serve better than all the T&M/FR hustles on the planet.

The more vocal proponents of FR (on this website anyhow) will suggest your "salvation" rests with that scheme of pricing. My response to that notion appears at this link:

Makes you think if you want to go flat rate or TM what to watch for I think either way can work as long as you keep it fair for the employees and customers
