Bacharach sensor question (Rudy)?

Our PCA-25 combustion analyzer looks like it needs a new Oxygen sensor. The screen shows "error" and the Oxygen level stays at 20.9 % when put in the flue. The unit is about 3 years old, so a new sensor is due. However, when we open the unit up, we notice the wire leads to the 2 sensor pins are extremely loose. The leads connectors do not look like they opened up, otherwise I would just squeeze them down to make a better connection. It looks like they are not the right diameter or is there a purpose to the loose connection? Curious if you know? Thanks

Jim, Hope you don't mind my responding to this but I happen to know Rudy is on vacation enjoying time with his family :)

After that long in service you're probably right it may be time for a sensor? Depends how much you use the analyzer of course.

Any how in Rudy's absence Norm Grazier is a good, go to guy.

    on that note

If it's been used as much as I suspect it may not hurt to send it in for a checkup..Just to get it ready for that lovely cold weather..JMHO

    Thanks, guys...

Norm says the terminals should be tight, which makes sense. I'll squeeze the connectors a little bit, but I still don't see why they are so loose to begin with. We use this just as much when it's 95* outside as when it's -9* outside - the lab never stops!
