Munchie Wall Hung

Me and Markie put this Munchkin T-80 in a new motorcycle shop. The entire 5000 sq ft building is on a slab. It is all in-floor radiant, three zones. I can't wait to see what the fuel bills will be for the owner. The guys who will be working in the repair shop will be lovin it.
When we put the pex down it was about 5 degrees out and snowing on us. In fact it took the propex fittings alot longer than usual to compress.

I see you are using the Webstone flanges (I noticed them on you Viessmann install too)and the short hands. Nice, goes well with the short Munchkin.

What's the best way to prevent it from being inadvertently closed?0 -

Nice job, whats the draw-off for in the spirovent ?
Is this piped P/S ? I can't tell from the pictures.
Great work and a nice system. The owners picked the right guys for the job.

This will be a locked room.
But I put them on all my installs. I have never had one somehow get closed. I suppose the handle could be taken off if need be. Not for nothin but every valve we use is a 1/4 turn valve. Where would the handle removing madness end? Thank you for the question.

Yo Scott
We have been putting a drain on the spirovent only because there are no drains on the Munchie and it is a good low point for it. I stopped piping the feed and expansion tank in the bottom of the spirovent a long time ago. Every time you would hit the fast fill you would get peed on. Since it is a T-80 the Grundfos 15-42 FC is plenty of pump for the boiler, no pri-sec piping is necessary. Hey are you going to ISH in October? My little buddy will be there talking his smak about CO.

We use a 3/4 gas cock works great and not worry about someone hitting it.
Just a thought

.
a heel tee for that low water cut-off would be a better choice -keeping it from loading up with gunk / nice piping & install0 -
Darin question?
Are backflow preventers not required in your state?0 -
No
they are not.
