please help me find Munchkin stand

Talked to an installer, he gave me a reasonable price for a Munchkin (and he even knows about the Wall), but he wants to set it up on cinderblocks.

I once saw a link here to a vendor selling metal stands for small boilers such as Munchkin, but I can't find it now by searching. Any help appreciated.

    Check Peerless website

They have a stand for the Pinnacle, a re-labled munchkin.
There's literature under the Pinnaclepage and a picture under their low-boy indirect HW tank.

    auto;matic water feeder?

I am having my nearly 5 year old water boiler replaced because the core is completely rusted out. My contractor suggests continuing to use an automatic water feeder, the manufacturer says it should be a manual feeder. What would you suggest?

This question has been debated here...

several times recently. You should search for the past discussions on manual vs. auto water feed - there were some good points made, depending on certain circumstances. If you can't find what you are looking for, start a new thread on this subject. Give more info on the type of boiler - What was the heat exchanger made of? 5 years and it's leaking is awfully short life. You may have a system leak that also needs addressing. Hope this helps.

    Find a new contractor ...............

no really, the down side of automatic feeds is if you have a problem ie: steam or water leak you most likely won't know about it until its to late. I tell my customers to think of a steam system has "hands on" you need to check water level weekly! The only time I'll put one on is if thiers a medical reason that it can't be checked. I have found that a tight system will only need water added maybe twice amonth. Hope this helps John@Reliable

    Agreed

Low water cut-off is more important.

    How about something like this?

Sorry, this was made by the homeowner.

I suggested that he make note of the measurements and submit it for consideration to HTP. (he owns some kind of metal fabrication shop, and the specimen pictured was made, powdercoated and delivered "overnight". He took all the measurements and asked what we needed.)

It's nice to have GREAT customers! Thanks Rudolph.
