    Off to see Siggy

In Chicago land. He is doing a set of seminars geared towards consulting engineers. Should be great stuff. Anyone else going?

    Jealous

I hope he schedules something down here in MD. Perhaps the local RPA chapter can do something about it. WW

Well, I was going to go. Unfortunately, the folks at BNP media who are organizing this event haven't returned my email or 3 phone calls.

I went to listen to Dan in St. Louis a few months ago. Blackmore & Glunt did a great job organizing that one. No problems at all.

Here's the link to register, if you guys are interested.

    Good luck.

Register today at http://es10.net/r/?ZXU=99008&ZXD=2309035 or call 1-888-530-6714.

    Big Chocolate Cake

Thought I recognized the name. Think I ate lunch at your table, Glen.

Mr. Doran looked very intimidating...but his bodyguard, Mr. Prisby was easygoing. [chuckle] Tony, the Rehau man is always approachable. The Heat-Link dude was quite the showman and also a good tablemate.

Loved how Siggy handled the Insultarp topic--or non-topic, as I choose to see it.

Glad the UltraFin non-topic was not brought up. Need to keep spirits high and negative sales gimmicks (products) out of the line of sight.

Yes Mike. I sat right accross from you.

My appologies, I thought I recognized your name too, but wasn't sure.

I thought Siggy'sanswer to insultarp etc., was interesting too. I have read so many good things here about it, and then to here Siggy's not convinced answer was very interesting.

I'm going to have to go on a crash diet after that piece of cake I ate. Waaaayyyyy to fatening (sp?) :)

    Good Show

Hi Michael, overall it was a good show indeed. The bubble stuff and insultarp could have gotten out of hand but John handled it well. It was great to see such a nice turn out. Introduce yourself next time. I don't bite, usualy.

Hard to pick everyone out in a group like that. Sorry I didn;t get to BS with you a bit. John did a good job as expected.

    Insultarp subject

I'm just curious about what siggy said about insultarp. Maybe someone could start a thread on it.

    Thanks, Steve M

    Siggy and BNP

Very informative seminar. First time to see John. As I watched and listened it felt like being with the Ted Williams of hydronic heat. Seems like he could have and would have kept on talking all night. A must to attend, if you have a chance. Thanks Jack

Basically, to vaguelly sum it up,

He's not convinced of the R-values or the longevity of these bubble type insultating products. Otherwise, I don't want to put words in Siggy's mouth, so I will leave it at that.

    Furthermore

Siggy's response/non-response to Insultarp resonated more with me, as a few weeks previously I had attended a seminar with another PE who is completely unnconnected with Siggy, and who has been doing radiant PEX tubing since day one. He impressed me incredibly with his presentation.

He told the audience point blank to not use the product. He went even further, telling us where he thought it might lead the industry from a legal point of view.

It's wonderful that radiant is catching on. It's sad that naive wholesalers, installers and consumers are getting conned. Only my opinion, of course.
