Hmmm... Sounds kind of like matter is being transported with a "shadow" of its original being...
----------------------------------------------------
Q: Why do opposites attract?
A: Because they are forced to become more like one another to exist in the same place.
(Seems to work for thing <I>and</I> people.)

Black hole
I think Hawking came up with his new theory by studying the back of my work truck.0 -
There is another theory
that has even been proposed to explain the rapid expansion of our universe. It has been proposed by Dr. Russell Humphreys and is based upon Einsteins work in the General Theory of Relativity and White Hole Cosmology.
There are a few basic premises that I have been able to grasp:
1. There are two special places in the universe, the center and the edge (I believe that it is based on a non Copernican view)
2. Where there is greater gravity, time moves slower (GTR)
3. A central universe white hole (containing unimaginable density, gravity and mass)which works the opposite of a black hole "spewed" the universe from one starting point.
If you read Dr. Humphreys book "Starlight and Time" you can get an explanation of the theory, the mathematics of the theory and full computation of the proposed equation.
The math is over my head, but it does support a young earth cosmology in a vastly older universe based upon an outside position relative to both points of expansion and gravity.
Anyway, after reading the article on Hawking, it is not direct support of WHT, but it would seem to indicate that what is inside, can come out.
God will need to explain this all to me, because I have no earthly idea how big infinity is.

One other note on Dr. Humphreys, he was one of the only astronomers to predict and model mathematically the things that the Voyager missions would discover at Saturn, Neptune and Uranus. All of his cosomology is based upon young earth theory. More importantly, he has been able to show the young earth position is not only defendable but rational.0 -
Does this have anything to do with that newer theory which I forget what its called but its like all of the dimentions are sandwhiched together?0 -
That theory is
more science fiction. All dimensions coexist together simultaneously.
All of my reading has lead me to five:
Three directional
Time
Curvature of space which is either positive negative or neutral

Hawkings.....
I'll probably hear ALOT of flak over this but...That Hawkings guy I belive may be the smartest guy on the planet...Robert O'Connor/NJ0 -
That guy is an inspiration...
Having to spend his life in a wheelchair, body badly damaged by disease, unable even to talk, but he can focus his mind like only a few could. He will be immortalized with Einstein, Newton, Hubble, DaVinci and other greats of science. Talk about overcoming adversity...0 -
OK guys, I hang out here sometimes, I'm the astronomer...no joke, my real job.
So, my Hawking story....I was a grad student at Caltech and Hawking was visiting. He was bombing down the sidewalk in his chair...the thing can move right along. I was slowing to turn right up a street...and he came bombing along and zipped right across the street I was turning onto. Now, I could have been infamous in astronomy...as the student who ran over Stephen Hawking!
I haven't looked at Stephen's new stuff....sounds like I should take a peek.0 -
String Theory
Cool stuff.
Thank goodness for PBS Nova!

This must be..
..Bruce Pirger of NY. Amazing the people one comes across on The Wall. Haven't spoken to you in over a year and a half.
Hows your Wood Boiler - Storage Tank with radiant working for you?
Mike0 -
Neever mind that.
How about that meteor shower next month, August 8th?

Hawking thought he could defeat the Demon...
He believed that black holes defeated the demon by forcing matter to exist under the laws of a different demon. This happened when "one" ceased to have meaning. He used sound math to support the defeat.
He forgot the first trick of the demon.
The one that it moves does not have to appear intact after movement. Sound math supports this as well.

thats it, string theory.

I believe
Hawkings got that theory, from Robert Bean.
True story !
