New Boiler Need Suggestions

I'm looking to replace a direct vent boiler in my home....I have been searching the net for efficiency, price , quality...I guess I'm looking for suggestions on one that I don't have to buy though a dealer that is good quality. MJ

Gas? Water (not steam)?

What's your heat-load number/calculations come out to?

I suggest ~90% of all DV boilers are gas?

And he didn't say "oil boiler."

I guess we would have to wait until he responds with what he is looking for as he didn't specify "gas" boiler either. I would dare say that regionality could drastically change your ~90% number.

I suggest you are

correct.

I'm not all that familiar with DV oil boilers, but since we don't see ANY in all of north Jersey, the 10% was just a gesture number on my part.

Now commercial stuff? Whole different magilla there.

New boiler

Sorry guys. I currently have a Trianco heatmaker HW-M2-100 but have added another well insulated (R38/R19) 1600 sq feet and would like to upsize for expandability. It is propane driven. The Heatmaker was not a bad unit but it is now 11yrs old and I'm sure not as efficient. Last winter I had several issues and found it a nightmare to get parts for. Time for something better.
