This may also be of help, but

I know Timmie's explanation will be easier to follow.

    You also can go to

http://hbctechlit.honeywell.com and type in the part number. That will get you tech sheets, which include several wiring diagrams. Typically, those terminals are on the R8182D,E,H,J and are used to control zone circulating pumps in oil-fired systems. These are safety hi & low limit controls, and unless you have proper training & experience, I don't recommend that you try to use this control as a DIY project.

    Z terminals

The "Z" terminals are use between the triple aquastat and additional zone relay to control one another. If the additional zone relays were powerd from the ZC terminal..... ZC will switch on and off heating zones relays under the B aquastat side of the Triple . If boiler cools below "low" cuts off heating zones. ..... ZR could be connected to a second set of contacts like from a RA45. If a zone calls, the relay sends juice to it's circulator and to ZR which powers the burner up on the second high limit . A call for heat will then bump up boiler temperature....

Extra tib bit while we are on the triple.....The first high limit is under the "Low" which =( low setting-10*+diff) . If the low is set at 160* and the diff is set at 25* . The boiler can cool down to 150* (factory fixed 10* drop) and run 25* up to 175*.......Pretty cool stuff ,
