    congrats

Brings back fond memories! Time to paint the nursery(G). Home project? Most men manage to take on a home remodeling project just as the pregnancy reaches the last term.

    Advice?

Be the best parent you can be. Always love your children and keep them close (because they tend to drift away as they get older). Support them and advise them, reward them and discipline them, and be there for them.

I wasn't sure how I'd perform as a Daddy but I found that a lot of what I know "just came naturally." Best of wishes to you and your wife!

    Congrats...

After the first couple months, they are a real trip. Go ahead, get the whole deal; mini-van, car seat, Golden or Labrador retriever(you're not going anywhere for a while, anyway)Enjoy them thru all the phases, they grow up way too fast. Invest in Dr. Seuss books, and read them to your child frequently! Good luck on life's greatest adventure.

Yes..spend as much time as you can, the years go by like a time vacuum. I had four, the three boys are now young men, all finished with school and my daughter, 14 years old will be 21 this year I'm sure:)

Hey, I have been telling my boys to bring on the grandchildren...nothing like an almost empty nest,no more wrestling matches on MOMs furniture, Only one leaving the toilet seat up is ME...and now that their to old for dishes...yep. I do them or buy MOM a dishwasher? I'll take the children anyday over this:)Nothing like, Sunday in the park with the kids.

Enjoy Your Family and like Dans sez..Tell them you love em'and give them a hug everyday!

    Welcome...

to the most difficult, most important, and most rewarding job you could possibly have.

Take lots of pictures and both show AND tell them you love them every day.

Seems like last week I was a daddy for the first time...now I've got three (12, 10 and 6 years old)...the time isn't truly marked until you have kids.

    God Bless, PJO

Make time for him/her! Like others have said it (time) flys by! The best gift you can give is your time, that they will remember more than a new car or a bigger house.

    Dan, with twins

is it true if one wakes up hungry at 2am you should wake up the other one to and feed both every time. What did you do? Still gathering info late in the game. I also keep forgeting to tell you how much I enjoyed your seminar at the Webb expo in Barre, VT last May. EJW

    Feeding

Ours woke up at the same time, every 2 hours. I don't miss sitting at the kitchen table getting 24 bottles ready for the next day.

    We tried that,

but it never worked. It seemed like there was a switch in each crib. When we would set one down, the other would wake up .

    Thanks for the kind words.

    CONGRATS

I remember the fear and trepidition that I felt on the day my bride told me that I was gonna be a Daddy.

Since I thought money was the most important that a Daddy provided...I worked my **** off for the next seven months.

When I held my first daughter...it became very evident that baby needed money a lot less than she needed two parents. (But wait fast forward about 15 years...then money becomes very important :) )

The only job I care about now is being a Daddy and a Granddaddy. My oldest is now the proud parent of twin girls just about 4 months old and being a Grandpoppy is even more fun and important than going to work.

Have fun...work enough to pay the bills and hold em and love em...remember Daddys need love too and you will never get more love than from your children.

Just hug em about 80 times a day

    Good Luck

    I still...

...look at our nine-year-old daughter and eleven-year-old son and break out in spontaneous tears, happy to be their Daddy and so very proud of them.
