We are soon to release the new version of our free heat loss calculation software, Hydronic Explorer 2. HE2 has the same easy-to-use heat loss engine as the original version, so we hope to continue to encourage all heating contractors to perform heat loss calcs as part of their equipment installations.

HE2 also includes a wide array of improvements and new features, all detailed on the new dedicated HE2 website.

As a "sneak preview" for all of our friends here on The Wall, here is a link to the HE2 website, where you can download the new program and take it for a test drive. The CD will be available in about 3 weeks.

  • I just tried it.

I downloaded the HE 2 without removing HE 1, to see if HE 1 would still be there, with all of the jobs still in it. It worked. The new version is right beside the old version, and my jobs are still intact in HE 1.

Please ask, if you have questions, and we can run the program on one of our machines and SEE if it does what you want. This question was from Cheese, he wants to save his old jobs that can't be imported into HE 2 directly.

Is the link to the HE2 website!

Once we have the CDs on hand, we'll have Dan change the link here on heatinghelp.com.

Let us know what you think of HE2!
