I was doing some research and ran across this article that I thought was excellent regarding bonding to Gypsum. I also saw the ad flashing across the top of the article for the Radiant Flooring Book as the RPA is doing some marketing here - great stuff.

    Hmmm....

For a second i thought that you were a son of a friend of mine. Ciff passed away a few years ago, his name is Haydon, his work his life time was concrete, cement, stone and rock. Recently i used some sand cement over insulated slab with bonding agent under and a mere 5/8" thick .we have fines that allow us to make some rather tough mixes. i use acryl .your advise for gypcrete is excellent. i have a question have you used gypcrete in bathrooms? i have no problem with it .some have said that they had bad luck and it deteriorated because wtaer laid in caused it to discombloomerate. i was under the impression that the bonding agents ruled thatpossibility out of the equasion. wouldnt that be more the results of improper overlayments ?
