Domestic Hot Water Storage Tank

in THE MAIN WALL
I have a 500 gallon domestic hot water storage tank. The water is heated from a boiler that sends heated water through U-tube heat exchanger in the tank.I was wondering what should be temperature drop of the supply and return.Its only a 8 degree drop now.Does this mean the coil is fouled or the water flow is to great?
