What is the best min max setting for aqua stat on my boiler. I was told I would save some oil by lowering them. I need to keep indirect hot and thats all. Thanks.

you could...............
set low down to 120* and leave hi as is,you really won't see a big savings at all so it's best just to leave it as is unless it's a real old system with high stand-by loss.0 -
It depends
on the aquastat,L4081 or equivalent you really can't lower very much.On a L8124 or equivalent, leave the high as is and lower the low to 110 or so

Want to save a fortune?
Put a timer on the boiler.
Allow the boiler to come on for half an hour in the morning.
Then allow it to come on from the time showers, dishes and the like start up - until the next to the last shower.
The last shower will use most of the remaining stored water. If the experiment suggests the last shower is a cold one, spend a buck and turn the boiler off in the middle of the last shower (:-o)
