On my list of things to do today..........was removing a panel rad from an install I did several years ago.Nice job it was.Constant circ, panel rads, reset, existing HWBB zones running off of t'stats but reset. The HO's have been cozy and love it.They wanted to add a screen porch to the home.In doing this a window is being changed to a door. That is where I come in.Gotta jerk the rad out of the equation.
While doing this the Mrs.HO mentioned that her master bed zone was not working.Yes mam I'll check it out.So stat goes up and sure enough nuttn'.It was an old t'stat (rectangular Honeywell cant remember the model).I've seen these stats burn out if the anticipatorisn't set righ.So I take the sat down.Looks good so I twisted the wires and found continuity @ the switching relay.I was confused. The constant circ was running but no power to my Argo.
DOAH!I had interfaced the Argo with my 2107 control for DHW.The Argo was 15' away from the boiler near my panel. When I powered it up I put a 1900 box and a seperate toggle with recepticles for service lights/tools.The switch was off:)FOREHEAD SLAPPER!I kept looking for something wrong:)
As far as the panel rad coming out.I found another great reason for using S&R manifolds for distribution........alteration.You never know.Very simple, isolated the rad, disconnected it in the basement, drained it and done.
