Burnham Question for Glenn

Glenn, I am trying to locate part numbers for the cover plate and gasket that is used in lieu of the tankless heater on a K5008B- natural gas- steamer unit. If you could provide them I'd really appreciate it. The local Burnham wholesaler (a Richard Cranium type) insists on my providing the part numbers. He says he hasn't the time for looking them up. I tried the website but to no avail. If you can help I will be eternally grateful( well at least until the next time I need info!!)

That part apparently got left out of the repair parts breakdown, probably because is is condidered a component part of the trim package for the knock down boiler. This should be the very same cover plate that is used on the V8 and other boilers with the front coil. Round and approximately 8" in diameter with 6 bolt holes. There are two options for this part. It can be a blank cover plate or a tapped cover plate with a 3/4" tapping. The part numbers are below. I will double check in the AM and let you know if they are indeed correct. Hope this helps.

It is safe to say that I NEVER said to a customer thay "you have to provide me with a part number" Sounds like that person should be a Big Box employee!!!!!!

I double checked this morning and the parts are correct. I might add that these are also available as a component package which includes the plate, gasket and bolts w/washers. This is the way they would have been shipped with a knocked down boiler the component part numbers are below. Hope this helps.

Wild Bill, your right, it is really exasperating to deal with a situation like this, but that "too busy" wholesaler is certainly not representative of the Burnham Corp. If he continues to operate like that for very long, he'll find he has lots of time on his hands!
