A question for the Mad Dog(mk)

I read your @ home threads.I see you ran your DWV in hubbless iron.I am assuming it is all service wieght.I do all my DWV in PVC.I have a new home I will be doing.PVC is classic Archie Bunker audible. Is the hubbless quiet?I would hate to upgrade only to find it to be heard.I have a DIYer that I did a job for a couple of years ago.He purchased some insulation for sound. It is used in firewalls of cars. This worked quite well.We did have the stack coming down a chase so it was easy to wrap.I dont know the lay of the land as of yet.Just wondering......tought I'd ask.

One more thing:)The picture you posted of the burst braided no burst supply. That really got my attention!I have been using them and am now reconsidering.I have been using them because of the Aqua pex I rough with.I find the slack they offer from stop to fixture acts as a bit of a shock absorber. The rigidity of a typical speedie has offered me drips on tank connections.I have been requesting that Wirsbo make a dropp earred ell for 3/8"FM.That is my **** with using aquapex. The IPS nipples allow me the asthetics of various trim flavors. And the reliability of a solid connection.I won't use the CU transition risers........in well conditions it defeats the purpose of me selling aquapex.

But my question. Was that burst line on hot or cold? Was there a thermal expansion tank in the home?It may have been the thermal weak link!
