    Looks like...

...a cast iron closet bend to me.

Is there enough room for you to wrap your snapper around it and fit it between the cast and the floor joist? Why do you want to snap it just below the flange?

Theres a toilet from the 30's that has tile rite to the base and removal will be tough, yes theres room to snap but don't want to kill the new snappers if thats steel.

    Cast Iron

That fitting is much heavier in wall thickness that regular cast pipe. I wouldn't try the snapper, iv'e seen them come unglued pretty quick. Sawzall/SAFETY GLASSES.

    Cast..

Thats a cast iron closet bend with a tapped wye in it. I'd be careful. You probably can snap it, but I'd use a grinder. If you break it, then your really opening the can of worms. It doesn't appear you have the room to put a snapper up there but if you do, check the condition of the iron first, then attach your snapper in one of the foundry segmented grooves and cross them fingers..Robert O'Connor/NJ

Stack is coming out, toilet like I said is buried (thick tile) right to the base and very old ( owner wants to keep it)other wise I would just lose the whole thing, remember trying to snap one of these suckers many years ago and doing a number on the snappers...no room for sawsall, guess I'll try to snap it,the jolt will probly crack the toilet anyway, will post post-opp pic of my poor (brand new) snappers, thanks.
