and your manufacturer of choice makes one a little to small and one 40% too big (including Pick-up) what should you do?
Is 40% over DOE too big?

Always better to bump up one size than chance it.......
by going borderline or too small, although you can often get away with it. Once in awhile, you get bitten though. I learned the hard way on one of my steam boiler sizing experiments a few years ago on my own house. I said to myself: "Lets see how small I can go....I've insulated everything very well....maybe I don't really need that pick up factor...." My edr load matched the boiler output almost exactly....no dice. Had to rip her out and do it again with a bigger one. Yes, sometimes I am Mad.......but I learned how far I could push it. Mad Dog0 -
