Recently looked at a steam job it had some rads that i,ve rarely run into the boiler was a oil to gas conversion they installed a gas burner gun on the old oil boiler .The rads in question where cast iron 6 x 6 with 3 rows wide 3 high each row was 2 x 2 with fins could really use a edr to go with thanks peace

    finned ci rad

Dan it,s actually some what like a conventor these units are recessed in the walls with steel covers. They look push nipple assembled ,each side having a header one side supply from bottom and the other side has one a straight air vent connection .Each header has 9 connection on them 3 front to back and 3 bottom to top the elements running acrossare cast iron with small vanes cast into them ,they measure a little under 2 x 2 .There are a few regular steam rads there some 3 ,4 and 5 tube of varying lenghts .These rads i am looking for the edr on are in areas of the home which have not had any work done on ,they kinda remind me of convection rads in gravity air systems or ones you would see under a small raditor grate .Sorry i tryed to draw a picture on the computer but a 1 st grader would have done better i'll try to get a photo of them don,t quite have a scanner yet thanks and peace
