I installed an SSU45 off a steam boiler. I was having some over heating issues which involved some repiping...no major hassle(it took a while to find a tapping higher on the boiler). However the boiler is still getting a bit overheated and the pressure is up to 5psi at times even though I have the pressuretrol cranked all the way down to 1 on the diff.I have the end switch on a pump relay tied into TT to start the boiler up on a call for hot water Do these go bad after only 5-7 years of use? should I change it out and go to a different control? Vaporstat? would a clogged pig tail cause the problem? would a header w/ a dimention "A" less than 24" cause the problem? kpc
