Chillers

Customers, ya gotta love em! I'm searching for a chiller unit to accommodate a three air handler setup with 40% glycol running - common fluid for heating and cooling. It seems an A/C unit to handle the 1.5 and 2X2 ton loads would be just too darned simple, available and, well, ordinary. Anbody using these or have a good direction to point me in? Dan

    You're welcome Dan,

I personally believe this company offers true zoned air conditioning. With a chiller unit that oftentimes need not be as big as the condensor unit required in a regular refrigerant based split-system.

No freon linesets, just a loop around the attic, or a manifold and zone valves.

I've never installed one, but I just don't see any downside to them!

I think they are working on a heatpump version. Imagine running air conditioning in the summer, and radiant floors in the winter, from the same chiller/heater unit. I REALLY like that idea.

    Food for radiant thought eh?

To make those compressors run as efficiently, as cool and as quiet as they possibly can, visit www.energysmart.com

I've installed MANY of these units on refrigerators, deep freezers, AC compressors and air handlers in MANY homes and busnesses here in very hot south Louisiana, and lowered total electricity use by over 40% in some cases (utility bills on file).

The company has units available from 120V 8amp up to 1000 amp, 600V, 3 phase. My customers and I are very happy with this company and it's products.

Have a great Fathers Day weekend, and hug your children.

P.S. On June 13th I celebrated my 25th anniversary of moving to this beautiful country, from beautiful England.

As Pres Reagan said, "all in all, not bad"

    Cheers Dan.

For more on this type of chiller, type in "spot cooling" at google.
