Are any of you out there employed as a quality control technician? Or do you know someone who is? Our company is considering this position and just had questions on how some view the value of the assighnment, do you incorporate it with other tasks? What do you look for? how do other employees view your assighnment? What is the range of requirements you deal with? Supplies, codes, ECT? look forward to hearing comments thanks ... Jim Nash

QC...
Yes. Yes. Yes. Experience,Intelligence, knowledge about every facet of the industry, or at least the ability to adapt to changing conditions in the field as well as the office. Respect & fear. All of the above. The title is called Superintendent/owner...Robert O'Connor/NJ0 -
I have seen several facetsof QC in action...
... usually it works best when QC reports directly to the head of the company, bypassing manufacturing, etc. and hence avoiding any possible conflict of interest. Just be careful that you don't get someone with a big head, otherwise work will grind to a halt and/or all the good people will quit.0
