coil on newer boiler produces poorly?

What is the reason that a coil on a newer peerless would produce to poorly. The oil tech came in and turned the hi and low aquastat to 180 and 200. Now the boiler runs continously and there is still barely enough hot water for a shower.
Any recomendations besides upgrading to indirect. Thanks

check here first
Mixing valve new? ,if it doesn't have one it needs one or if old replace. Was the system purged after install? I've seen air pockets in boiler that can cause lack of hot water. Last could be shower mixing valve if water is hot at sink, washer etc. Last how new is newer? tankless I find last about 10-12 years before flow goes away unless real bad water. hope this helps0 -
Coil problem
Is this on town water or private? If on town pressure you might need a flow restictor before the coil, the water is probably whistling right thru it before it can be heated enough. Check the house pressure. EJW0 -
Good thought
Check your flow rate on your shower head . You can not draw more then the unit could produce. Use a low volume shower head , I recommend 2 gpm for a coil with 100K-140K btu input. Use a 5 gallon bucket and a time device to check the shower head flow rate. Any new head sold today would be 2.5 gpm unless the restrictor is removed which could bring it up to 5gpm which would out run most coils and hot water heater tanks as well.0 -
could be piped wrong
I'm not familar with the Peerless but some coils need to be piped in a counterflow configuration to transfer the heat properly. For sure, check your mixing valve and flow rates too!

Flo control
The Peerless boilers I have installed all came with flo controls, and the directions tell you to use it.I have ine in my own house, and you can stay in the shower all day if you want.0
