You all know what it's like, an early start and a very manick morning. It's gone 1.30pm and you are looking for lunch.
Driving through a lot of traffic, there is only one place, McD's.
Well, what a refreshing change. Salad this, salad that, a menu full of great food.
Well done McD's, a great lunch.
Are you guys enjoying the same great fair on the other side of the pond?
Kind regards.

We have them here as well Jimmie.

I like a salad for lunch

especially in the heat of the summer.

Wonder how McD's they keep them so crisp and green for weeks and weeks, however. Firm gas rippened tomatoes, artificial bacon bits, processed eggs :)

What is the special "sauce" that allows this. Maybe worse than the grease :) Nah, probably still the lesser of two evils!

maybe its a cross between lettuice and that "grass" the city plants after they dig up the easement. you know that really corse crabgrass type plant that grows 10X faster than the rest of the lawn.

  • You're a nice guy, Jimmy

Don't eat that stuff; it'll send you to an early grave.

We've got a problem here in America; it's called obesity and it's from eating too much fast food and not getting enough exercise.

Treat your body like the boilers that you install; use good materials and you will reap the rewards.

    Thanks Alan

    Alan.
Thanks for your concern, I don't eat a lot of fast food, I like good old home cooking. I just thought the guys at McD's were making an effort to clean up their act a bit.

Here in Scotland, we also have a big problem with obesity - which we are trying to address, but boy it's hard. What with the deepfried Mars bars, high sugar drinks. It's ironic, with good food being so cheap, a lot of people eat the wrong thing.

I also know, there is a danger that a lot of what is sold in fast food places - be it salad or not, could be from GM crop. This also we are fighting to hold the tide of, here in the UK.

Thanks to all who posted, sorry it's not heating related.
    Kind regards.

Its part of our fast pace world. Eat quick and get back to work or on the road. Nobody wants to sit down and relaxe. We don't have the time, or so it seems.

You have to work hard at finding good food to eat that is quickly avalable.

Nice to see Margerat Thatcher at the Regan service's, very moving.

    Scott.

You are correct, it's all wrong. In our trade we don't spent enough time eating, or eating the rite thing. Luckily, yesterday, I sat down for an hour and had lunch with my son - they grow up so fast. It may have been Dan that said, something like?''kids are like smoke in the wind''.

I hope your family Scott are all doing OK?

Yes, It was sad to see Regan pass away. As always, the special relationship our countries have made them close, and I guess there will always be a lot of contact between any UK prime minister and US president.

I'm glad to have made so many friends here on the Wall, we have so much in common.

    Regards.
