a friend of mine wants to eliminate his free standing cast iron radiators and add 3/4 copper baseboard.. after the heat loss calculations are done, i see a possible stumper here.. now the venturi tee's are 1 1/4 x 1/2 throught the entire main.. now the new baseboard will be above the main and the basement is staying with the cast iron radiators till next year sometime.. now when i pipe to the copper baseboard should i increase it to 3/4 directly out of the tee's? use a 1/2 male x 3/4 copper adapter and full 3/4 to the baseboard? think there will be a noise or a flow problem? thanks..

Hello
Mike! are you changing all rads or just a few? I hope you
guys dont plan on mixing them.
If you changing them all out, just as well repipe it in a series circuit.
I dont know from what I have seen when going from rads to baseboard, and most cases it alot with out any improvement
to the home, that you change the past of least resistance
and most of the water will stay in the main.
May I suggest a good book..How Come,it a require tool when
you travel down the monoflow highway.
It sure has help me grow alittle more hair,on that strach part of my skull. Hope all goes well.
