burner control on this panel an independent call for heat? i.e., i wouldn't have to have end switches on my actuators, any t-stat calling for heat would activate the boiler?

    Hi, Leo!

You can wire the R8889 with up to 4 zone valves or 3 zone valves and a tankless HW heater on zone 1, which is your priority zone. Remember to set the switch if you are using zone one for HW. Any zone stat can call for heat. If you are using V8043's, the two red wires go to ES2 & ES1, the yellow wires go to V1&V2.The circ pump and oil or gas burner controls are wired into an L8148A, the circ is wired to C1 & C2, burner controls are wired to B1 & B2, L1 (hot) and L2 are power, and are wired to the lower L1 &L2 terminAls on the R8889. H1 & H2 on the R8889 wire to T&T on the L8148. For more detailed wiring go to http://hbctechlit.honeywell.com, and type in R8889. Thanks for using our product! Either the T8400B1018 or the T8775A1009 make good non-programmable, electronic, mercury-free heat-only zone stats, or if they want programmable, try the new VisionPro 8000 or the T8002C1000.
