auxillary end switch for Honeywell 2\" zone valve

In the coming months I will be replacing a couple of older New England Gear Valves with new Honeywell valves. One of the valves is a 2" [V5011N 1099] and one is a 1.5" V5011N 1081. Along with these items I ordered 2 auxillary end switches [p.n. 272630A]. My intention was to connect each of the end switches to the "T - T" terminals on the R8184 burner control just like the New England Gear Valves are. However, I have been told that it is not posible to use this end switch on the 2" valve. Instead I was given a Honeywell R8222 D 1014 DPDT relay to use. Both of the valves have the same actuator to operate the stems up & down. Does anyone know why this end switch may not work specifically with a 2" valve but will work with the 1.5" one?
