Integral circ checks

Saves time, and money combining all the standard features of the standard 00 series, plus the added benefit of the IFC. Because it is a spring check you can install it in a vertical run where that would not be possible, when using a weighted type check. The IFC is located in the casing, enabling, and easy access. Additionally, there is an exceptionally low pressure drop through the ifc, resulting in improved flow, and head characteristics, in some cases up to 120%. The IFC's dependability is backed by years of production, and use in various applications.

    Integral circ checks

How well do the new integral circ checks work? Do the work well enough to eliminate the old traditional (like B & G )flow checks or are they still needed also. Have good size primary/secondary job in progress and if they work it would save some time and piping.

    IFC

If you find these on a job not pumping away (don't always have control of this) they have to be lossened at the flange to burp them. First time I saw them they were on a homeowner system that even had a ball valve to isolate the relief valve. Not knowing what I was looking at I added flo checks, WRONG ANSWER, won't work. I prefer to have seperate parts. One goes bad and you don't have to change a whole unit for one problem. Yes, the ball valve was removed from the relief valve.

    I have had excellent service

from the Grundfos 15-58 with internal check on the output flange, 3 speed motor and 3 year waranty.

I feel they do a better job than an old weighted check. Certainly less installation time :)

As Leo mentioned consider the new B&G flange/ check component. Cives you a flange (rotateable for various brands of pumps) check and isolation. All outside of the pump volute.
