I'm looking for one of Siggy's drawings
I threw away a whole stack of PMEs a few weeks back. I regret that decision now. I'm interested in looking at figure 2 in the link below. I'm curious about what kind of 3-way zone valves he's talking about? It won't show up on the BNP site.
Can anyone help me look at or understand this diagram? Anyone out there done a system like this?

3-way Z control
Gary,
I can't speak for John, but I like to use the slow action Taco 3 way for constant flow. Lots of variety available in assembly, sometimes with return aquastat or with tempering as shown in this picture. Enjoy...Dan

Would you explain the flow
in the 3-way Z control in your picture. Thanks0 -
Sure
The ball valve (closed in picture) is in the bypass port of the three way. During NO call for heat the circulator draws through the main port from the bypass and the flow is only through the emitters. When called the zone valve slowly closes the bypass and opens the unit port allowing first blended and then full temperature fluid to enter the emitters. Dan

Siggy?
John,
The attachment drawings do not show any 3-way flow control valves (zone valves). I think you have attached the wrong set of schematics.
The one I'm looking for should show 3-way zone valves utilizing constant circ. with a mixing sub-system. It was from PME "Zoning with Constant circulation" December 2003.
