Has anyone compared Roth Vs Warmboard floor panels? And used them OTJ??

I installed Roth board when we renovated the bedroom.
I am pleased with the performance. It went in well. I probably would have left a little more space for expansion at certain points--but it is silent when it is up to temp. I used the Roth pipe--I have been told that the Weil-Mclain pipe will work in the board (3/8") But you would want to recheck this.0 -
What do you mean by OTJ?
If OTJ is an abbreviation for on top of joists, I do not believe that the Roth panel is a structural panel which can be directly attached to joists. If it is, it violates my patent. If OTJ means something else, I am dying to know what that is.0 -
Which
is your panel? Did you design or manufacture it?

expansion issue
Mike, you were mentioning that you had a small problem with expansion when you installed the panels. I am about to install the same panels and am wondering if you could enlighten me with what you encountered.
Thanks

Terry...
I think it stands for On The Job, like OTJ training...
At least thats MY interpretation. Could be something else though... Let see,

Styrofoam
Terry,
The Roth panel is an aluminum panel bonded to styrofoam. It wouldn't make much of a structural subfloor. ; - )

the noise was minimal
and probably would go away if you used plastic sheets, or something where the pipe is not in the panels, and has an opportunity to rub against wood (near the manifolds.) You might want to check about using silicone sealer in the tubing grooves. If you want a fax of my tubing layout for this room, send me a nuber by e-mail. They won't let me near the scanner yet--someday!
