Adjusting antisipator on a thermostat for a hot water rad system

What is the formula to set the antisipator on a thermostat for a hot water fin system ?
I wondering if this is the correct formula method: Find out the amperage reading on the ( NG )gas valve and multiply it by 1.4 then set the thermostat's antisipator to the above calclulation's sum ?
I know that if a electronic thermostat is used one does not need a formula or to set it.

A sujestion: after you do all that check your system for circulator times. If they are short cycling you can even the comfort by setting the aquastat down to 150 and the anticipator down to .2.. Then adjust for comfort www.exqheat.com
