In this world of cordless everything,I went to my privately owned tool wholesaler today.I needed to purchase a replacement cordless flashlight/drill kit.I have two drills now,one Bosch and one Porter Cable. The PC is a 19.2V and has a 1/2" chuck. My Bosch is a sweet 14V compact for fastening and small drilling.I have always vowed I would never buy a complete cordless kit.........sawzall,circular saw etc.

My PC charger took a dump and I tested the circutry. I decided to buy new since the MAN seems to have the math figured out for replacement part vs. new tool pricing ;)So I pull in the parking lot,low and behold it's offical Tool Day.All the trailers and tents were set up.Free food and drink and a smorgasboard of deals.I have been very happy with the Bosch line and they have a great warranty service.Guess what I bought? They had a 6 tool special. All 18V toolsdrill/hammer drill,Sawzall, flashlight, circular saw(8"),planer,jig saw,2 batteries and charger. That includes a canvas carring bag.

For Tool Day they have a $10.00 off for every $100.00 spent or trade in an old cordless anything and get a $65.00 discount.Thats what I did. Then you get a mail in rebate for another battery. He also through in a 5 masonary bit index and a blade kit for the jigsaw.

I have a slab of black cherry I sawed 30 years ago.It has chain saw rips and I just planed it down.Looks great.I just have to avoid the barbed wire.:) thats why its sat for 30 years.
