Have project that will require 3 199M Munchies. Outdoor reset, modulating and staggering/staging are desired. Vision 3 does all this. Anybody have experience with it?

    You could use...

    3- Ultra 230's and a Tekmar 265....
I would be more comfortable with that setup, would do everything you want.

    Vision 3

Works great. You can even plug the works into your laptop and see exactly what is goin on. Fault codes, last time serviced etc. Personally I have more faith in ss than aluminum as a heat exchanger. Stick with Munchkin!

    Vision 3

Vision 3 is readily available in both 4 and 8 boiler combinations part numbers 7250P-482 and 483 respectively.
It is painfully simple to install and set up. As a matter of fact I had felt that I was missing something when I installed my first, because it was so easy. It truly is technology made simple.

    am more comfortable

with Munchkins and Vision technology. I use W-M cast-iron boilers all the time, but the wholesaler I buy from seems to be very reluctant to discuss the Ultra with me. I don't have any experience with it and so I am hessitant to use them.

    He probably don't understand them.....

And as usual many are wary of the new stuff.....
I was....but I convinced myself to install one in my own home.
My thinking was that I could easily fix it there if there were problems... I even hooked it up without unhooking the old standby CI boiler that I had there. In fact it is still there and has not run for over a year, even stole some of the vent piping from it when I was in a pinch this winter.
After playing with it for a bit I realized that it was nothing to be scared of. I tred many things with it that your not supposed to do......I intentionally tried to make it fail.....
kinda like the crash test dumby of boilers......

Then I installed one in an agricultural application....it runs 24/7/365, has not shut off since 9/16/03 when I installed it.......installed two more in the same type of application. Insatlled a double boiler system in a radiant floor application and had the 10500 sq. ft. building heating for less than some of the houses in the area that were 1/4 the size.

    All that just to say.....

Try it, you just may like it!!!!
