Yes
Siggy's design software loaded on a laptop is an incredible troubleshooting tool. As long as you can see, and measure pipes, pumps, and boilers, and measure temperatures you can answer questions.

On the Hydronic Circut Simulator do you know how to plug in your own type of heat emitter?
Thanks

It allow
a choice of none, baseboard, or radiant by clicking in the grey box.
I'm not sure you could build a custom emitter other than clicking none and trying to build one from pipe and fittings selections?
Are you trying to define an air handler or something, not covered in the selections?
Siggy would be able to help further, drop him an e-mail, he's there to help.

Yes I have a system a customer installed that has fancoil heaters that is not operating properly, so I am looking for a way to use the simulator with fancoil heaters.

I sent
this thread to Siggy. I know he is open to adding features as contractors or users ask for them.

I would really like to simply describe a system and then check on the improvements the program would make. to me the computer programs always decide for you what the parameters are going to be for insulation etc...then too, theres the thing of a tight system that works great even at -30 degrees below designe temp of -47 it dont peg out and lose against the cold in those times..this may sound funky buh i dont want to designe things necessasarily according to the available designe parameters i want to be able to simply describe a system that i know works and go from there.0
