was what he said upon start-up Tuesday. This project was to be done back in 2001 until Sptember 11 happened. It was put off for some time due to economic uncertainties after September 11th. We started installing tube mid-January when it was 15°F. I forgot just how cold I could be!
This is a propane fired Vitodens 8-32, Vitocell 100 and 5,000 square feet of concrete. All of the mechanicals are on the wall over the offices.
He wasn't kidding about the cold weather, either. His current shop has hanging unit heaters, so he is looking forward to this coming winter.

Nice...
Nice looking job, HB. How are you liking the Pro-Press? We have been using it for a few months now. I have a meeting next Thursday with a rep who has some Italian Pro-Press ball valves. I'll let you know what I find out.

ProPress Valves.
They are they ones with the female fitting, Dan? I would be very interested in those. I have seen the other valves with the stubs soldered in, which don't make any sense. Let me know what you think when the Italian valves become available.

The bar has been raised(allbeit a couple years later) again.
Jeff, Nice job. Glad you got to finish it. Sweet manifold setup !
D. Foley, I saw a blurb for "pre-soldered" Apollo ball valves in one of the trade mags a couple months back.
Please let us know what you find with the new stuff. The local suppliers are now stocking more ProPress fittings and adapters than I've ever imagined. I DO remember to thank them! Chris0 -
Like HB, the pre-soldered ball valves don't make a lot of sense to me. I don't have many details from my rep yet - all I know is that they are Italian and they have the Pro-Press fitting built into the valve. I will have a few to test out at our meeting next Thursday. I will post some pics when i get them.

Once again, your work is inspiring. Very well layed out Pal.
I would guess the day the tube was layed out was Not a Yingling day .
I will print these pictures and show them to the crew, "This is what We want to do".

What's the under slab insulation? Looks like InsulTarp?

Yes, it's Insultarp.
Chris bought and installed this himself, as well as the wire mesh. There is two inches of insulation around the entire edge. We decided on pouring an eight inch high curb all the way around the building so the edge insulation could be installed. on the inside of the building. Really worked out well.
As cold as it was, you can imagine how that 5/8" PEX came of the uncoiler!

Jeff, you are one hell of an artist. Thanks for your "enlightement" at Wetstock. You have indirectly helped our focus. Like Scott said I show our guys what you do and now they "get it".
