Hot Water Zone/Indirect

In Dan's book "We Got Steam Heat" he tells us how to make a hot water zone. At the end of the explanation, he tells us another option is an indirect system.
My question is what are the pros and cons of each and why would you choose one over the other?

The difference is..........
with a direct system you are using boiler water which over time picks up the "stuff" from the system and tends to wear out pumps plus high water temp.when making steam will also do this. With in-direct system clean water is being used and you can control the water temp. better. When ever I do one I try to use the in-direct system if possible. Hope this helps John@Reliable0
